Fireworks Show
Thank you to the Manke family for years of incredible support—and thank you to our community for keeping the tradition shining bright. Special thanks to Mason County Garbage for making a huge donation to keep this show going!
May 30 • 10pm • Oakland Bay Jr. High
For nearly two decades, the Forest Festival fireworks have lit up the Shelton sky thanks to the incredible generosity of Manke Lumber Company. Their long-standing support helped create one of the most anticipated traditions of the festival, and one unforgettable way to end the day.
This year, Manke paused their funding, hoping to be back again in the future, but passing the torch to something just as powerful: the community itself.
And wow… did Shelton show up!
Through an online fundraiser, and a truly remarkable $15,000 lead donation (THANK YOU MASON COUNTY GARBAGE), our community came together to raise the full $20,000 needed to keep the fireworks tradition alive. Families, businesses, and neighbors all played a part in making sure this tradition continues. We see each and every one of you, and the volunteer crew at Mason County Forest Festival thanks you!
Arrive early because parking fills quickly as families gather near Shelton’s Oakland Bay Junior High School. Good parking options include the Fred Meyer and Walmart lots.
A great plan? Find a viewing spot near the junior high fields, then head over to Rockin’ the Forest at the Our Community Credit Union parking lot from 4–Fireworks. This all-ages event features food, music, and a beer garden—basically a perfect lead-in to the main event.
The fireworks begin around 10 PM, just as the sun sets. Tune into KMAS 1030 AM or 103.3 FM for a live, synchronized music broadcast to make the show even more magical.
This year’s display is more than just fireworks—it’s a celebration of what makes this community special. It’s proof that when something matters, Shelton shows up in a big way.
